Commencement set for May 10

Vanderbilt’s Commencement Day will be held Friday, May 10, beginning at 9 a.m. when graduates of all schools and colleges of the University march onto Alumni Lawn.

Following the invocation, recognition of the Professors Emeriti, conferring of degrees, and awarding of Founder’s Medals, Chancellor Gordon Gee will offer farewell remarks to the graduates.

At 10:15 a.m., the graduate and professional schools recess and go to their individual hooding and diploma-awarding ceremonies. The undergraduate seniors in the College of Arts and Science, the Blair School of Music, the School of Engineering, and Peabody College remain on Alumni Lawn to receive their diplomas.
