Concert to honor Blair’s Schneller

A host of voices will unite in song on April 19 as three Vanderbilt choirs perform a special concert to honor Blair School of Music faculty member Pamela Schneller.

Schneller, senior lecturer in choral music and assistant dean at the Blair School of Music, was seriously injured in February when she was struck by a van while jogging in Los Angeles. Now back home in Nashville, she is recovering and undergoing physical therapy.

The concert, “For the Love of Music,” will feature the Vanderbilt Community Chorus, the Vanderbilt University Concert Choir, Blair Children's Chorus and First Presbyterian Sanctuary Choir, and will be held at the Cathedral of the Incarnation, at 2015 West End Avenue in Nashville at 8 p.m.

A fund has been set up to help with Schneller's recovery. Donations can be sent to: Bank of America, c/o Pam Schneller Medical Fund, 2121 Blakemore Ave., Nashville, Tenn. 37212.

People who are interested in keeping up to date on Schneller's progress can visit a Web log (blog) set up by her daughter with daily information and a place to post comments and well wishes. The address is: http://pamschnel-
