Beginning July 12, Vanderbilt University Medical Center will engage a company to run personal errands for Medical Center staff and faculty to help make it easier to balance work life with the responsibilities of home life.

The service will take care of such errands as dry cleaning drop-off and pick-up, grocery shopping, getting the car washed, getting an oil change, getting shoes repaired, buying flowers and gifts, buying theater tickets, among other services.

Details about the service will appear in an upcoming Reporter.

VUMC is holding a contest to find a good name for this new service. VUMC employees are invited to send their suggestions to Susie Lyons, manager of employee programs with Medical Center Communications, at susie.lyons@vanderbilt.edu; or mail your entry to Name it!, D-3300 MCN.

The prize for naming the service is dinner for two at P.F. Chang’s China Bistro. Entries are due by May 11.
