Deafness foundation elects Haynes president

David Haynes, M.D., associate professor of Otolaryngology and Hearing and Speech Sciences, has been elected president of the Centurions, an arm of the Deafness Research Foundation (DRF).

The DRF is the leading national source of private funding for basic and clinical research in hearing and balance science. DRF-funded research has led to dramatic innovations in hearing and balance science, such as cochlear implants, universal hearing screening for newborns and auditory research.
