DeWeese honored by national design magazine

Vanderbilt's Fred DeWeese, vice president of Facilities Planning and Development, was featured as one of “Twenty who are making a difference,” in the December issue of Healthcare Design magazine.

Editors at the magazine had asked recognized architects, interior designers and consultants to nominate peers who've made a “significant difference in advancing the design of health care facilities.”

DeWeese has led building construction at the Medical Center since arriving here in 1999 and has overseen dramatic growth of the VUMC campus.

DeWeese was nominated for inclusion in the Healthcare Design article by Ed Houk of Hart Freeland Roberts, Inc., designers for the recent expansion atop the Werthan Building at the east end of Medical Center North.
