VUMC will celebrate National Doctors’ Day today to show its appreciation and support for its physicians.
Volunteers will deliver cookies and cards to doctors. Organizer Susie Lyons asks faculty and staff to write a note of thanks or encouragement on the cards and pass them along to doctors they want to recognize.
“Doctors have dedicated their lives to healing, to passing on their knowledge to the next generation of doctors through teaching, and are searching for new and better ways to care for patients through research,” said Lyons.
