Dr. Rudra Prakash was recently promoted to clinical professor of Psychiatry at Vanderbilt.
Prakash graduated from G.S.V.M. Medical College, Kanpur, India, with a MBBS degree in 1972. He received his medical degree in psychiatry at King George’s Medical College, Lucknow University, India.
Prakash was a research fellow at the Tennessee Neuropsychiatric Institute at Vanderbilt from 1981 to 1982 and a resident at Vanderbilt from 1985 to 1988.
He has received numerous awards, including Excellence in Teaching Awards at Vanderbilt in 1990, 1991 and 1997.
