Faculty giving campaign heats up as deadline nears
With just one month remaining until the June 30 deadline, the Partners In Health giving campaign is marching steadily toward its 2010 goal of 50.01 percent faculty participation.
As of May 20, 36 percent of faculty have participated in the campaign. Six departments have surpassed the 50.01 percent participation goal:
• Thoracic Surgery, 100 percent;
• Emergency Medicine, 85 percent;
• Medical Education and Administration, 57 percent;
• Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, 56 percent;
• Cell Biology, 55 percent; and
• Neurological Surgery, 53 percent
All funds stay within the Medical Center, and donors may direct funds toward a school, department or program of their choice.
All donations made to the Vanderbilt Flood Relief Fund will also count toward Partners In Health, providing faculty and staff a way to both help affected colleagues and participate in this year's campaign.
