Applications are being sought from investigators throughout Vanderbilt University for pilot research projects in the areas of cause, prevention, detection or treatment of lung cancer.

Funds from the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer’s SPORE in Lung Cancer Grant, awarded earlier this year by the National Cancer Institute, are available to support projects by individual investigators or collaborative teams.

One-year grants of up to $50,000 will be awarded. All grants will be peer-reviewed.

Funding is anticipated to begin on Jan. 1, 2002.

Deadline for submission is Oct. 15. Guidelines and application forms may be downloaded from Vanderbilt-Ingram’s Web site (www.vicc.org) or by calling Jennifer McConnell at 936-1072.
