Heather Hall joined the staff of VUMC News and Public Affairs in January as information officer assigned to the School of Nursing.
Hall moved from Bethlehem, Pa., where she worked at Medstar Television, Inc. There she produced and reported medical news that was syndicated to various network TV stations across the country. Before Medstar, she worked at various TV stations across the country: NBC in Fort Wayne, Ind., NBC in Harrisburg, Pa., an independent station in Allentown, Pa., and FOX in Philadelphia.
A native of Cicero, Ind., Hall graduated from Ball State University in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in telecommunications and Spanish.
“I am so happy to be here at Vanderbilt, working with the School of Nursing,” Hall said. “They’ve already opened their arms and warmly welcomed me to my new home. I look forward to delivering information about their wonderful work and research to the people here at Vanderbilt and beyond.”
Bill Hance, director of News and Public Affairs, said Hall is a great addition to the staff. “Heather has worked extensively in the media, especially in television. She knows a good story when she sees one and knows how to cultivate and work with sources. I am confident she will bring more attention to the School of Nursing.”
