Hauck to help foster music industry relations

Tatum Hauck has been named manager of Music Industry Relations for Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The newly created position is designed to strengthen and grow VUMC's relationships with members of Nashville's entertainment industry.

"I'm thrilled to have Tatum join our team,” said Amy Casseri, director of Communications and Community Relations.

“She has many years of experience building partnerships with valuable members of Nashville's entertainment industry. She knows Vanderbilt and she knows the industry, and she will make great strides in bridging the two.

“Tatum has already forged strong relationships with many artists in the entertainment industry and I'm confident this new role will help us to continue to build upon these relationships with members of the music industry who want to become more involved with Vanderbilt."

Hauck — a longtime member of Friends of Children’s Hospital — will be responsible for creating and executing a plan to increase industry participation in a variety of events, creating partnerships, developing positive brand awareness of VUMC programs and initiatives, as well as coordinating and scheduling celebrity visits.

Hauck was previously the executive vice president of the Christie Retail Group, home of the locally run Christie Cookie Co., since 2003.

She also is the president and founder of The Brand Inc., a local entertainment company. She also worked in promotions at MCA Records.

Hauck received her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University's Peabody College and served as a member of Peabody's Alumni Board of Directors.
