Linda Norman and Nancy Wells named American Academy of Nursing fellows

Linda Norman, D.S.N., senior associate dean for Academics at the School of Nursing and Nancy Wells, D.S.N., director of Nursing Research at the Medical Center, have been named fellows in the American Academy of Nursing (AAN).

The AAN consists of 1,500 nurse leaders who make extraordinary contributions to nursing and have been identified by their peers to be the best and brightest professionals in nursing.

Other fellows of the Academy from the School of Nursing include Colleen Conway-Welch, Ph.D., Nancy and Hilliard Travis Professor and dean, Bonnie Pilon, D.S.N., senior associate dean for Practice, Peter Buerhaus, Ph.D., Valere Potter Chair and professor of Nursing; senior associate dean for Research, Elizabeth Weiner, Ph.D., senior associate dean for Informatics, Carol Etherington, M.S.N., assistant professor of Nursing, Judy Ozbolt, Ph.D., Independence Foundation professor of Nursing; professor of biomedical informatics, and Joyce Laben, J.D., professor of Nursing Emerita.
