Lorenzi elected to lead informatics association

Nancy Lorenzi, Ph.D.

Nancy Lorenzi, Ph.D., assistant vice chancellor for Health Affairs and professor of Biomedical Informatics, is the 2009 chair-elect of the 4,000-member American Medical Informatics Association.

The AMIA promotes effective use of information in health care, including patient care, public health, teaching, research, administration and related policy matters.
Lorenzi's two-year term as AMIA chair begins next January.
