Brandon Smith, a fifth-grader at LEAD Academy, a Nashville public charter school, gets a hands-on view of bacteria with some help from Courtney Campbell, a student in Vanderbilt's Medical Scientist Training Program. MSTP students organized the visit for the middle schoolers, to introduce them to the clinical and research aspects of the MSTP career pathway.
