More options for Vanderbilt Health Plan members

More options for Vanderbilt Health Plan members

Effective May 1, Vanderbilt University employees currently enrolled in the Vanderbilt Health Plan will be able to receive health care closer to home through a new collaboration between Vanderbilt University Medical Center and its affiliate medical centers, creating a comprehensive regional offering of services through access to physicians and hospitals in Davidson, Maury, Robertson and Williamson counties.
VUMC and its affiliate medical centers — Maury Regional Medical Center, NorthCrest Medical Center and Williamson Medical Center — have agreed to create the Vanderbilt and Affiliates Network, which will replace the University’s current “At Vanderbilt” program.
“As Middle Tennessee’s largest private employer, our faculty and staff live throughout the region,” said Traci Nordberg, Chief Human Resources Officer and associate vice chancellor.
“To bring an added level of convenience to health care services for members of Vanderbilt’s Health Plan, additional choices will be offered through our affiliated providers, which may be located closer to our employees’ homes.”
Included in Maury Regional Medical Center’s network are Lewis Health Center, Marshall Medical Center, Spring Hill Health Center and Wayne Medical Center.
The Vanderbilt and Affiliates Network will offer members of the Vanderbilt Health Plan the same co-pays, deductibles and coinsurance for services provided through the affiliate medical centers and their participating providers as when receiving services from Vanderbilt’s facilities and physicians.

For more information call the Employee Service Center at 343-7000, or visit the Vanderbilt and Affiliates Network website, http://hr.vanderbilt.edu/benefits/vanderbilt-affiliates/, which includes Frequently Asked Questions.

The website will include a list of providers beginning May 1.
