Morris to take marketing reins at Children’s Hospital

Sharon Morris has been named marketing manager for the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.

She will be responsible for maintaining the brand of Children's Hospital, which includes activities such as graphic standards, developing marketing collateral, advertising, outreach and promotions.

“I'm so excited to have Sharon join our team. Her personality and enthusiasm are infectious,” said Amy Casseri, director of communications and community relations. “She has a vast experience in marketing and in community outreach through her previous role at Channel 2 and from the many community boards she serves on, and she is personally passionate about the mission of Children's Hospital.”

Previously, Morris served as director of community relations for WKRN-TV for nine years. She has also served in the non-profit field as the executive director of the Tennessee Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation and as the special events coordinator for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. She spent 10 years as an account executive for advertising sales at WDRB-TV in Louisville, Ky.

Morris is a graduate of Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green.

She sits on many boards and belongs to several organizations, including the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Board of Governors, the Ronald McDonald House Board of Directors, the All About Women Advisory Board, Eating Disorders Coalition of Tennessee Public Relations and the “Be in the Click” Teen Seat Belt Safety Advisory Board.
