New call center streamlines access for VICC patients
The Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center has created a new call center designed to streamline access for both patients and referring providers.
The new system includes new phone numbers, in addition to the existing toll-free number, for clinical trials.
“We want to ensure that patients, family members and referring providers have easy access to the high-quality care and innovative cancer clinical trials that we offer at Vanderbilt-Ingram,” said Carol Eck, administrator of the Cancer Patient Care Center. “The staff members in this center are well informed and will be able to quickly and easily get folks where they need to go.”
There are local (Davidson County) numbers and toll-free numbers for three specific groups:
• Patients seeking an appointment or needing to reach the cancer clinics: 936-VICC (936-8422) or 1-877-936-VICC (1-877-936-8422)
• Referring clinicians seeking to make a referral or schedule a consultation: 343-3700 or 1-877-6MD-VICC (1-877-663-8422)
• Both patients and referring clinicians seeking additional information or access to a cancer clinical trial: 936-5847 or 1-800-811-8480
