Pendergrass receives radiology gold medal

Dr. Henry Pendergrass, professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, Emeritus, will receive the American College of Radiology Gold Medal in a formal ceremony on Oct. 1 at the ACR annual meeting in Miami.

Pendergrass has been at Vanderbilt since 1976.

Mason named to nursing group

Vanderbilt nurse Donna Mason has been appointed to the 2002 Geriatric Resource Group for the Emergency Nurses Association.

The group will address national issues related to emergency nursing practice, emergency care, and matters of the association.

Ozbolt presented Joe B. Wyatt award

Judy Ozbolt, Ph.D., professor of Nursing and Biomedical Informatics, was presented the Joe B. Wyatt Distinguished University Professor Award recently by Chancellor Gordon Gee at the Spring University Faculty Meeting.

The Wyatt award, created to honor Chancellor Wyatt upon his retirement in 2000, recognizes accomplishments that span multiple academic disciplines.

Dayani offering Pilates exercise class

The Kim Dayani Center is offering the Pilates exercise method, a conditioning program that improves muscle control, flexibility, coordination, strength and tone.

The class is held on Tuesday and Thursday, 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. Classes are free to Dayani members, $8 per class for others.
