Ekdall to lead VMG Children’s Services

Phyllis Ekdall has been appointed chief operating officer for VMG Children’s Services. Ekdall will provide leadership for outpatient and departmental clinical functions.

She will also hold the position of Administrative Director of Clinical Services in Pediatrics, providing consolidation of leadership between VMG and the School of Medicine for pediatric clinical operations and administration.

Fox Foundation accepts applications

The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research is accepting investigator-initiated grant applications for research investigating the role of protein degradation or “handling” in the process of nigrostriatal degeneration that underlies Parkinson’s disease.
