Independent producer Jonathan Norris will debut his documentary, "A Profession and a passion: Nursing in Tennessee,” on Friday, June 22, at 7 p.m. on WTVF-News Channel 5.
Norris spent the last several months interviewing nursing leaders across the state for this film, including Vanderbilt University School of Nursing Dean Colleen Conway-Welch, Ph.D., Chief Executive Nursing Officer Marilyn Dubree, M.S.N., R.N., and national nursing researcher Peter Buerhaus, Ph.D.
The documentary traces the evolution of nursing, examines today's challenges and discusses future trends.
The documentary will also air in Memphis and Knoxville.
