The Partners In Health Campaign, an internal faculty/staff campaign established in response to growing financial needs at Vanderbilt Medical Center, is currently under way through June 30.

Faculty and staff can designate their gift toward the school, department, area, or program of choice at the Medical Center.

Funds raised from Partners In Health help Vanderbilt fulfill its mission of excellence in teaching, patient care, research, and scholarship support as designated by the donor.

All contributions made through the campaign stay within the Medical Center and are applied directly to the school, department, fund area or program that appeals to the donor. Donors can also give to multiple areas of interest. No administrative costs are withheld from the donation.

Every gift is important to Vanderbilt, according to campaign spokesperson Susan Reaves. “As a non-profit institution, Vanderbilt relies on charitable gifts to help support the overall work of the Medical Center,” she added.

More than $1 million was contributed last year. The departments with the highest rate of participation in 2002 were Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery, Professor Emeritus, and Obstetrics and Gynecology. The average donation was more than $2,300.

Vanderbilt employees can opt for payroll deduction with the donation spread over a 12-month period, cash, check, or credit card (MasterCard or VISA).
