Patient safety group taps Hickson
Gerald Hickson, M.D., associate dean for Clinical Affairs and director of the Vanderbilt Center for Patient and Professional Advocacy, has been named to the board of governors for the National Patient Safety Foundation.
Hickson will serve a two-year term and will work with the organization to further its core body of knowledge, help develop and enhance a culture within the health care system which is receptive to patient safety improvement and raise public awareness about patient safety issues.
