Joey Barnett, Ph.D., vice chair of Pharmacology and director of Graduate Studies in Pharmacology, right, received the 2005 Teaching Award from Pharmacology graduate students Julie Field and Thomas Tomasiak during the 15th Annual Joel G. Hardman Student-Invited Pharmacology Forum last week. Barnett was honored for excellence in lecturing and for his commitment to the development of young scientists — inside and outside of the classroom. The forum, named for former Pharmacology Chair Joel G. Hardman, Ph.D., focused this year on the development of anti-retroviral therapy for HIV/AIDS.
