Macie Cashion was among the patients and families who recently splashed a little color on the temporary construction walls on the sixth floor of the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.

The “infection control walls” are currently shielding the unit from the ongoing expansion work, which will add 33 beds and 30,000 square feet of space. Construction is scheduled to be completed by next spring.
