A handful of the 123 new VUMC Nurse Residents gather between orientation sessions at the summer kickoff held recently at Langford Auditorium.
The residents include 23 current VUMC employees and 10 nurses who participated in the Vanderbilt Experience: Student Nurse Internship Program.
Each nurse resident will follow one of six tracks – adult medicine, adult surgery, women’s health, psychiatric health, critical care or pediatrics – during the one-year program designed to help new nursing school graduates ease into their nursing roles.
