Physician named to national sports medicine committee

Andrew Gregory, M.D.

Andrew Gregory, M.D., a pediatric orthopaedics and sports medicine specialist with Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt has been appointed to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Committee on Sports Medicine and Fitness.

The committee addresses any of the issues brought before the academy that fall into the sports medicine category, and make recommendations for AAOP policy in areas such as physicals before sports participation, prevention of concussions and other sports injuries.

Appointment to this committee lasts for 10 years.
