This year's Postdoctoral Association and Shared Resources Research Symposium will be held Tuesday, April 26.
The daylong symposium will feature presentations by postdoctoral research fellows and resource directors, a poster session and awards, and a keynote address by North Carolina entrepreneur and biotech executive Christy Shaffer, Ph.D.
The presentations will begin at 10:30 a.m. in 208 Light Hall, followed by the poster session at 1 p.m. in the lobbies of Light Hall and Langford Auditorium.
Shaffer’s talk, which will begin at 3:30 p.m. in 208 Light Hall, is entitled “My journey as a scientist to CEO to venture capitalist and philanthropist.”
It will be followed at 4:30 p.m. by awards for best posters, “Postdoc of the Year” and “Mentor of the Year.”
