Proctor named Chief Information Officer for VUH

Nancy Proctor, Director of Information Systems for Vanderbilt University Medical Center, has been promoted to Chief Information Officer of Vanderbilt University Hospital.

Proctor has served in various leadership roles in the Informatics Center at Vanderbilt and has a strong track record in implementing Information Technology solutions that meet operational and business needs of the Clinical Enterprise. In her new role as CIO, Proctor will partner with the Executive Leadership team of Vanderbilt University Hospital to focus the Informatics Center’s efforts to plan and implement IT-enabled solutions which are critical for the hospital to reach its strategic goals. Her initial emphasis will be on improving patient access, providing the information infrastructure for high quality care, and supporting more efficient operational processes.

In addition to her new role as CIO, Proctor will continue her current responsibilities as Director of Information Systems for the Medical Center. In this capacity, she is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day data center operations, customer service and help desk functions, and application implementation and support.
