Radiothon rings up funds for Children’s Hospital

This year's Children's Miracle Network Radiothon raised $147,170 for the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.

The three-day fundraising event took place March 5-7 on the Performance Stage at Children's Hospital and aired on 107.5 The River.

“We are thrilled to celebrate five years of the “River of Hope” Radiothon with WRVW 107.5 The River,” said Lisa Dill, director of Children's Miracle Network for Children's Hospital. “Their commitment and passion toward the children we serve only continues to escalate. We appreciate the continued outpouring of support from the Middle Tennessee Community, including the listeners, along with our Children's Hospital patients and families, who shared their stories.”

“When you come here, it's such a happy place,” said Jim Chandler, of “Woody & Jim” on 107.5 The River. “We keep coming back because years ago we met kids with cancer and now they're in college. We don't bring in the money; we just tell the stories and the people who listen have never let us down. We're so thankful.”

In the past five years, the Children's Miracle Network Radiothon has raised more than $1 million for Children's Hospital.
