Randolph Rasch, Ph.D., professor and director of the Family Nurse Practitioner Specialty, has been inducted as a fellow in the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

The Academy recognizes nurse practitioners who have made outstanding contributions to health care through clinical practice, research, education, or policy.

Rasch is also a member and senior counselor of the Iota Chapter and member of the Iota Beta Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau, the international honor society in nursing.

Recently, Rasch was one of four nurses selected to appear in a national print advertising campaign to encourage nurses to consider a career in teaching.

The “Nurses for a Healthier Tomorrow” campaign is a coalition of 43 leading nursing and health care organizations that have joined forces to address the nursing shortage.
