Reeves lands e-records award

Mary Reeves, director of Medical Information Services has been named the 2006 recipient of the e-HIM Award from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).

The award honors individuals, groups or organizations for important advancements related to electronic health information management — advancements that correspond with the AHIMA vision of health information that is “electronic, patient-centered, comprehensive, longitudinal, accessible and credible.”

Reeves joined Vanderbilt in 1984 as director of MIS, which oversees all medical records. The award will be presented in October at the AHIMA annual convention in Denver.
