While its Nursing Annex is being renovated, the School of Nursing is holding classes in this Southeast Nashville building.

John C. McCauley, assistant vice chancellor for Risk and Insurance Management, has assumed additional responsibilities as a University Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel.

McCauley will continue to oversee professional and general liability litigation in the Office of Risk and Insurance Management, and will also be responsible for working on risk management issues as they relate to contracts and other transactions handled in the General Counsel's Office.

“As a licensed attorney, John has always worked closely with the Office of the General Counsel,” said David Williams, vice chancellor and General Counsel.

“These additional responsibilities are a natural extension of the excellent job John has done for Vanderbilt.”

Also, Sandy Bledsoe, director of Risk and Insurance Management, has been promoted to executive director and will assume overall responsibility for the administration of the department, including budgetary matters, personnel oversight and clinical risk management.

Bledsoe and the Office of Risk and Insurance Management will continue to report to McCauley and the Office of General Counsel.
