Rogers set to lead Books From Birth

Sheryl Rogers has been named director of Books from Birth of Middle Tennessee at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.

Rogers will be responsible for managing the program that provides a free book each month to qualifying children under age 5.

“Sheryl brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise,” said Mary Kate Mouser, director of Children's Health Improvement and Prevention. “She is a leader who gets things done.”

A graduate of Vanderbilt University, Rogers has previously served as the executive director of Alumni Relations for Vanderbilt since 2004. She joined Vanderbilt in 2000 as the associate director of marketing and communications for Alumni Relations.

Books from Birth was made possible by the collaborative contributions of the Imagination Library, Jo's Reach Out and Read, Nashville Public Library, Nashville READ, the Governor's Books from Birth Foundation, WTVF NewsChannel 5 and various community partners.
