Satcher set for Dean’s Lecture
Former U.S. Surgeon General David Satcher, M.D., Ph.D., will speak at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine next Tuesday, Sept. 29, at noon in room 208 Light Hall, as part of the Dean's Lecture Series.
During this two-day visit to the campus, Satcher will help inaugurate a new program established in his honor, the Vanderbilt MPH David Satcher Public Health Scholars Program.
The program will award merit-based scholarships (full tuition) to Vanderbilt Master of Public Health applicants from underrepresented minority groups.
