Singer, five others join Vanderbilt-Ingram Board

The Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center (VICC) announced several new members to its Board of Overseers, including country artist and cancer survivor Charlie Daniels. Other new members of the Board include Dr. Steven G. Gabbe, dean of the Vanderbilt School of Medicine; civic leaders Susan Simons and Yvette Boyd; Orville Kronk, senior vice president, Bank of America; and Thomas G. Burish, president of Washington & Lee University, president of the American Cancer Society and former Vanderbilt provost.

The Board of Overseers is chaired by Orrin H. Ingram, president and CEO of Ingram Industries, and includes nearly 30 volunteers who provide leadership and counsel to the VICC. “We are privileged to have the support of so many dedicated volunteers who bring such a wide range of expertise and talent,” said Dr. Harold L. Moses, Benjamin F. Byrd Professor of Oncology and VICC director.

Maupin, president, Meharry Medical College; Don Pierce, Pierce Ledyard; Michael Pollack, general counsel, Elektra Entertainment; Dale W. Polley, retired president, First American Bank; Frances W.
