The Vanderbilt Sleep Disorders Center has expanded its clinical operations into Williamson County.

The Williamson Sleep Clinic evaluates patients at the VMG Franklin location on Edward Curd Lane, and at a new sleep laboratory within the Hyatt Place Hotel on Bakers Bridge Road in Franklin.

Beth Malow, M.D., professor of Neurology and medical director for the center, and her colleagues in Neurology, Pediatrics and Pulmonary Medicine see patients in clinic at the VMG Franklin location on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

“My colleagues and I are very excited to have the opportunity to bring Vanderbilt sleep services into a community setting.

Sleep disorders impact virtually every aspect of medicine, including cardiopulmonary disease, stroke and diabetes. Identifying and treating sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, insomnia and restless leg syndrome often improves the underlying medical condition and enhances quality of life,” Malow said.

“Some of the strengths of our program are multidisciplinary emphasis, a hotel-based lab setting which promotes comfort and reduces anxiety in our pediatric and adult patients, and our emphasis on quality and comprehensive care,” Malow said.
