Vanderbilt's W. Anderson Spickard Jr., M.D., was recently honored by the Association for Medical Education and Research in Substance Abuse (AMERSA) with the establishment of an award in his name.
The W. Anderson Spickard Jr. Excellence in Mentorship award was created to recognize Spickard's longstanding commitment to mentoring junior faculty in the topics of career development and Addiction Medicine.
Yale University's Gail D'Onofrio, M.D., was named to receive the award in November at AMERSA's annual conference in Washington, D.C.
