Sha Stoxstill, Health and Wellness administrative assistant, and Jim Kendall, organizational manager of the Employee Assistance Program, prepare bags of gifts for the "Adopt a Vanderbilt Family" program before Christmas. Thirty-two departments and/or individuals, divided between the University Central and Medical Center, made the holiday season brighter for 22 Vanderbilt families (chosen from Faculty and Staff Hardship Fund applicants). Each person received at least five presents. Susan Lescher, administrative assistant for the Work/Life Connections-EAP Program and “Chief Elf” noted, “It was absolutely heartwarming to see the excitement and enthusiasm of the departments who sponsored a family. It was a true privilege to see the faces of the employees receiving these anonymous gifts.” This is the third year of the project coordinated by the Work/Life Connections-EAP. (photo by Dana Johnson)
