State of Nursing address to review past, look to future

The Vanderbilt University Medical Center community is invited to attend this year's State of Nursing address at 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 8.

This year's event will be held in room 208 Light Hall and will be followed by a breakfast reception in The Learning Center.

In her annual speech, Executive Chief Nursing Officer Marilyn Dubree, M.S.N., R.N., will share highlights from the past year and plans for the future. She will provide insight into the success of the Medical Center in creating a Magnet culture during the past several years, the commitment of nursing to quality patient care and information about nurse retention efforts.

Dubree will also use this opportunity to recognize nurses who have advanced to the RN3 and RN4 levels as well as announce recipients of various annual awards and scholarships.
