Survey seeks input on research funds Web site

Vanderbilt University research faculty are invited to take an online survey to assess and improve the FIND Grants Web site.

Launched in 2008, the FIND Grants Web site helps VUMC faculty, clinicians and scientists find non-federal funding.

To participate, go to FIND Grants (www.mc.van-derbilt.edu/findgrants) with your VUNet ID and password and click on the link to 'Take our Survey.'

Completing the survey should take no more than five minutes.
Faculty input will help the site’s administrators evaluate how they can improve the visibility and relevance of FIND Grants.

Those who complete the survey before April 30 will have the opportunity to enter a drawing for a $50 gift certificate to Amazon.com. The winner will be notified by e-mail on May 3. One entry per person allowed.

Developed exclusively for VU researchers, FIND Grants — short for Foundation INitiatives Database — allows researchers to hone search criteria by factors such as experience level, citizenship, award amount and deadline to find the funding opportunities for which they are best suited.

The Internet database includes grants from more than 200 foundations and is updated weekly by the Development for Biomedical Research staff.
Go to www.mc.vanderbilt.edu/findgrants to access the database.
