Symposium to highlight HS students’ research

The accomplishments of high school seniors who have participated in research at Vanderbilt Medical Center will be highlighted July 10 during a Student Research Symposium in Light Hall.

Sponsored by the Center for Science Outreach, the symposium will include a morning poster session in the North Lobby featuring the work of students in the Research Internship Program and the School for Science and Math at Vanderbilt.

Billy Hudson, Ph.D., director of the Vanderbilt Center for Matrix Biology and founder of the “Aspirnaut Initiative” to bolster math and science education, will give the keynote address at 1 p.m. in 202 Light Hall. A reception for students and parents will follow at 2:30 p.m.
