The Vanderbilt Transplant Center will host the Transplant Patient Reunion and Health Fair on Saturday, Sept. 12.
The celebration will be held on Magnolia Lawn on the Vanderbilt/Peabody Campus from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
More than 1,000 people are expected to attend the picnic-style event, more than double past participation.
In honor of the 20th anniversary of the Vanderbilt Transplant Center, two pioneers of the center will be recognized during a special presentation —
Keith Johnson, M.D., former medical director of the Kidney/Pancreas Transplant Program, and Robert Richie, M.D., former surgical director of the Kidney/Pancreas Transplant Program.
Health screenings, children's activities and music will be featured.
