Two added to Children’s Hospital management team

Two added to Children's Hospital management team

The Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt has added Maureen Cassidy and Mary Kate Mouser to the hospital’s management team.

Cassidy has been named an associate hospital director accountable for the Medical Staff Office and Physician Relations, and will serve as a liaison with the Department of Pediatrics in supporting strategic initiatives for the hospital.

“Maureen brings unique experience in physician and program development work,” said Kevin B. Churchwell, M.D., chief executive officer and executive director of Children’s Hospital.

Cassidy came to Vanderbilt in 2008 as the chief strategic officer for the Department of Pediatrics. Prior to that, she was an administrative and management consultant for several academic institutions and medical centers. She holds an undergraduate degree in Management from The College of St. Rose in New York.

Mouser has been named an associate hospital director accountable for Advocacy, Government Relations and Community Services, and will serve as a liaison with Communications and Marketing.

“Mary Kate brings a focused dedication to programs aimed at improving the health and well being of all children,” Churchwell said.

Mouser joined Vanderbilt in 2004 as director of Vanderbilt Children’s Health Improvement and Prevention (VCHIP). Prior to joining Vanderbilt, she was director of marketing, development and education for Nashville’s Center for Nonprofit Management. She holds an undergraduate degree in Communications from the University of Kentucky and a master’s degree from Vanderbilt in Human and Organizational Development.
