Vanderbilt Employee Health Fair set for April 27

The first university-wide Vanderbilt Employee Health Fair will be held Tuesday, April 27, from 7:30-9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. in the Student Life Center Ballroom.

The health fair, presented by Vanderbilt Corporate Relations and Faculty and Staff Health and Wellness, is open to all employees of Vanderbilt University and Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Free screenings are available for head and neck cancer, blood pressure and strength and flexibility. Fifteen-minute sessions called “Health Breaks” will address topics such as chair ergonomics, relaxation techniques, pilates, yoga, starting an exercise routine and the new Vanderbilt Sitter Service.

Door prize drawings will be held throughout the day, and all employees who attend the event and complete the online survey afterward are eligible to enter for a chance to win two roundtrip airline vouchers from Southwest Airlines. Fruit and water will be available for all attendees.

The Student Life Center is located at the corner of 25th Avenue and Vanderbilt Place, across the street from Memorial Gym. Designated shuttles will run continuously from the Round Wing at Medical Center North and from Shuttle Lot N.
