The new online safety training program was launched to accommodate employees with busy schedules and to satisfy the required training for all VUMC staff.

Chris L. Algren, Ed.D., MSN, Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital assistant administrator and director of Perioperative and Procedural Services, and Debra Arnow, MSN, Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital assistant administrator, director of Acute Care, have contributed two chapters to “Wong’s Nursing Care of Infant and Children, 7th edition.”

The chapters are titled, “Family-Centered Care of the Child During Illness and Hospitalization” and “Pediatric Variations of Nursing Interventions.” The textbook in pediatric nursing is utilized by nursing schools and hospitals nationally and internationally. The book is about families and children and the philosophy of family-centered care in health promotion and illness.
