VCH staff shift development roles
After handling a successful phase one campaign to build the Monroe Carell, Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, three development officers are shifting roles, effective Sept 1.
Mary Rigby will focus on patients and their families to identify major gift prospects.
“This role is natural for Mary,” said Crawford Evans, associate vice chancellor, Vanderbilt Medical Center Development. “Mary has always had a gift for working with the families whose children have been treated at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.
“Now she will develop a system to work with families representing all of Vanderbilt University Hospital in directing their gifts. Her creativity will build a more satisfying bond between VUH and its grateful families.”
Tanya Leiber, current director of regional development for VCH, will assume the position of director of development for VCH. She will oversee the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital development staff and the projects they handle each day, including the Children’s Miracle Network Telethon, The current “Change Bandits” drive and many others.
Tricia Carswell, who has been handling major gifts for the Children’s Hospital since June of 2002, takes on the added responsibility of overseeing the VCH development department as its senior director of major gifts.
