VUMC Annual Report

VUMC’s 2002 Annual Report recently won a Silver Award in the health care category of League of American Communications Professionals annual Vision Awards competition, and was also named one of the top 100 annual reports of the year by the LACP.

The report focused on neonatal intensive care at Vanderbilt and its main story followed the course of one patient, a newborn girl named Bailey Allen, through her hospital stay and profiled many of the staff and faculty who had impact on her care.

More than 950 annual reports were entered in the competition. Among the other winners in the health care category were Aetna, Yale New Haven Hospital and Baxter Healthcare. Among the other annual reports named to the top 100 were those for the National Science Foundation, Citigroup, General Electric, Colgate Palmolive and Tiffany & Company.

The 2002 VUMC Annual Report was edited by Wayne Wood, with assistant editor and photographer Dana Johnson, designer Diana Duren of Corporate Design. The report was written by the staff of News and Public Affairs.
