Former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani recently wrote a note to the faculty and staff of Vanderbilt University Medical Center thanking them for the remembrance book that was sent after the Sept. 11 attack. Giuliani, who unable to seek re-election due to term limits, was instrumental in boosting the morale of the city after the attacks. He was also named Time magazine’s Person of the Year for 2001.
