Area women are invited to spend a day at what is being called the “World’s Largest Free Spa.” The second annual All About Women event is being held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on August 27 and 28 at the Nashville Convention Center.

Sponsored by Vanderbilt University Medical Center, the free event will kick-off next Friday morning with opening remarks by Harry R. Jacobson, M.D., vice chancellor for Health Affairs and a presentation by Pat Summitt, the nation’s winningest collegiate women’s basketball coach.

The event includes free health screenings, spa classes, professional services, giveaways and door prizes, entertainment, childcare and parking.

All About Women was launched in 2003 to increase awareness and literacy of women’s health issues.

For more information, call (615) 618-0670 or visit www.allaboutwomentn.org.

Nurses are still needed to volunteer at Vanderbilt’s health screening booth. If you are interested, please email Jill Forbert at jill.forbert@vanderbilt.edu.
