Women invited to special breast screening event

The Vanderbilt Breast Center is hosting "Girls' Day Out," an event that offers women a chance to enjoy good food and pampering while they prepare for an annual breast cancer screening mammogram.

The event is Saturday, June 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Vanderbilt Breast Center, suite 25000 at Vanderbilt Health One Hundred Oaks, 719 Thompson Lane.

During the event participants can take advantage of a complimentary brunch and massage. There will be musical entertainment along with information about heart health, healthy eating and cosmetic plastic surgery.

Insurance will be billed and co-pays will apply for the mammograms. This program is for wellness screening mammograms. Many insurance plans require a full 365 days between screening mammograms and guests are responsible for following their plan’s requirements.

Diagnostic mammograms are available at the Vanderbilt Breast Center by appointment Monday through Friday.

To register for Girls’ Day Out, call 322-2064.
